Privacy basics

changAIs is built for local review of AI-generated code changes inside VS Code and compatible editors.

Local Project Data

The extension reads local workspace files and changAIs report data so it can show changed files, diffs, notes, replies, and review state.

Data Sharing

Normal review use is local to the editor. Do not include secrets, private code, customer data, or internal URLs when sending screenshots, logs, or reports for support.

Optional Product Analytics

Anonymous product analytics is disabled by default and starts only after explicit consent. It does not include source code, file names, workspace paths, report or reply content, license keys, or user and machine identifiers. Support messages may include the details you choose to send, such as changAIs version, editor version, operating system, install method, reproduction steps, screenshots, logs, or report excerpts.
